6-Day Northern Tanzania Safari — Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Arusha
Location: Arusha

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will
be warmly welcomed by your safari guide and transferred to your lodge in
Arusha. Set within lush greenery, your accommodation offers a calm and
comfortable environment to unwind after your journey. Take time to
relax—perhaps enjoying the gardens or settling into your room—before meeting
your guide later in the evening for a comprehensive safari briefing, where
you’ll go through the details of the adventure ahead.
Day 2: Arusha – Tarangire – Karatu
Location: Tarangire National Park,

breakfast, depart Arusha for Tarangire National Park, a scenic park known for
its iconic baobab trees and impressive elephant populations. As you explore the
park on a game drive, you’ll encounter a variety of wildlife including
giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and possibly predators such as lions. The
Tarangire River acts as a magnet for animals, especially during the dry season,
creating excellent viewing opportunities. After a picnic lunch in the park,
continue your journey to Karatu, where cooler highland air and a relaxed lodge
setting await
Day 3: Karatu to Serengeti – Journey into the Endless Plains
Location: Serengeti National Park

After an early breakfast, begin your journey through the
Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where the scenery shifts from cultivated
highlands to dramatic natural landscapes. As you continue, the terrain opens
into the vast plains of the Serengeti, offering your first glimpse of this
iconic ecosystem. Along the way, enjoy a game drive with opportunities to spot
wildlife roaming freely across the savannah. Arriving at your camp, you’ll
settle into a comfortable tented setting that brings you closer to nature while
still offering essential comforts.
Day 4: Full Day Serengeti Exploration
Location: Serengeti National Park

Today is dedicated to exploring the wildlife-rich plains of
the Serengeti. With your guide leading the way, you’ll venture into different
of the park in search of the Big Five and other fascinating species. From lions
resting under acacia trees to cheetahs scanning the horizon, every moment
offers something new. Depending on the season, you may also witness the Great
Migration. A picnic lunch in the bush allows you to stay out longer, making the
most of your time in this remarkable wilderness.
Day 5: Serengeti – Ngorongoro – Karatu
Location: Ngorongoro

After breakfast, depart Serengeti and head toward the
Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africa’s most unique wildlife destinations.
Descending into the crater, you’ll find a concentrated population of animals
within this natural enclosure, offering excellent game viewing in a relatively
short time. Expect to see lions, elephants, buffalo, and a variety of birdlife
around the soda lake. After a picnic lunch, ascend the crater and continue to
Karatu for a relaxing evening at your lodge.
Day 6: Arusha Cultural Tour – Departure
Location: Arusha

After breakfast, drive back to Arusha where your safari
concludes with a cultural experience. Visit a local community or Maasai village
and gain insight into traditional ways of life, customs, and daily routines.
This final experience adds depth to your journey, offering a meaningful
connection beyond wildlife. After the visit, you will be transferred to the
airport for your onward flight, marking the end of your safari adventure.
