whether you are six friends, a three-generation family, a corporate group, or a couple who simply wants nothing shared with strangers — a private safari is a different experience entirely. your vehicle, your schedule, your pace. we design safaris for groups of 2 to 30, each one shaped around who you are and how you like to travel.
all of our safaris are private — we don't put strangers in the same vehicle. but for groups larger than four, we design something more considered: multiple vehicles, coordinated logistics, camp buyouts for full privacy, and activities that bring a group together in the right way at the right moment.
group safaris work beautifully for reunions, anniversary trips, corporate incentives, and multi-family travel. the dynamics are different from a couple's trip — bigger groups need more planning, more communication, and an operator who understands how to keep everyone happy. that's something we've gotten quite good at.
private safaris — even for just two people — offer a quality of experience that shared safaris simply cannot match. you leave when you want, stay at a sighting as long as the animal holds, skip the parks that don't interest you, and travel at your own pace throughout. we arrange private groups of 2 to 30.

group safaris work beautifully year-round. june–october offers the best wildlife concentration and the most predictable conditions. for large groups with camp buyout plans, book 12-18 months ahead — small camps fill early. for flexibility and value, january–march (calving season) and november are excellent quieter alternatives with fewer crowds.
the logistics of a group safari are more complex than a couple's trip, and we won't pretend otherwise. but when it works — when twelve people are watching a lion pride at dawn in three vehicles parked side by side, and you can hear each other laugh — it is one of the great shared experiences in travel. that's what we are aiming for.
We have planned safaris for groups up to 30. Beyond 20, we typically arrange a camp buyout for a small property, which gives the group exclusive use of the camp and its full team. For corporate groups, we can coordinate with partner operators to scale up further.
For a couple, a private safari costs roughly 20-30% more than a shared one. For a group of 6+, private costs are often comparable to or better than shared rates, because the vehicle cost is spread across more people. Larger groups frequently get our best per-person pricing.
We design multi-generational safaris regularly. We match camps to the youngest guest (some excellent family camps welcome children from 5), pace game drives appropriately, and layer in activities that work for different energy levels. Tell us the ages and we plan accordingly.
Yes — we collect all dietary requirements and special requests before the trip and communicate them to every camp on the itinerary. Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, halal, and severe allergies are all accommodated by the camps we use. We follow up to confirm.
Yes. For groups of 12 or more, a camp buyout at a smaller property (8-12 tents) is often possible and gives the group full privacy of the entire camp. Costs depend on the camp and season. We have good relationships with small, owner-run camps that handle buyouts well.
