it applies to information collected through our website (conbushsafaris.com), our enquiry and booking forms, email and phone, and during the running of your safari. by using our services, you consent to the practices described below.

The personal information we collect depends on how you interact with us. The categories are:

• To obtain park permits from the Tanzania National Parks Authority (TANAPA) and Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority (NCAA), which require passport details and personal information
• To communicate with you about your booking, including pre-trip information, arrival logistics, and post-trip follow-up
• To process payments through secure third-party payment processors
• To improve our services based on your feedback and patterns in how guests use our website
• To send occasional marketing communications about future trips, with your consent and an easy unsubscribe option in every email
• To comply with legal obligations, including tax records, anti-money-laundering requirements, and lawful requests from authorities

we share your information only with the parties needed to deliver your safari, and only the minimum required:

• Accommodation providers (camps, lodges) — your name, dates, dietary requirements, special requests
• Transport providers (airlines, charter operators) — name, passport details for ticketing and manifest requirements
• Park authorities (TANAPA, NCAA, Tanzania Wildlife Authority) — passport details for entry permits and conservation fees
• Insurance providers for the Flying Doctors evacuation membership we include with your booking
• Payment processors (Stripe, bank wire systems) — minimum information required for payment processing
• Government authorities where required by law (rare; we have never received such a request)

We do not sell, rent or trade your information to third parties for marketing purposes. Ever.

• Booking and guest records: Up to 7 years after the date of travel, as required by Tanzanian tax and consumer protection laws
• Marketing list: Until you unsubscribe (an option is included in every marketing email)
• Website analytics data: 14 months, then automatically deleted by Google Analytics

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information:

• All data transmitted to our website is encrypted via HTTPS
• Payment information is processed by PCI-compliant third parties and never stored on our systems
• Access to client data within the Company is limited to staff who need it to perform their roles
• Our systems are regularly reviewed and updated to address emerging threats

that said, no internet transmission or electronic storage system is 100% secure. while we do everything reasonable to protect your information, we can't guarantee absolute security. if a data breach affects your personal information, we'll notify you and the relevant authorities as the law requires.

Depending on your country of residence, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
• Correction: Ask us to correct any inaccurate or incomplete information
• Deletion: Ask us to delete your personal information, subject to legal retention requirements

Our services are designed for adults and family groups. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 16. Where a child is travelling as part of a family booking, we collect only the minimum information needed (name, date of birth, nationality, passport details) from the booking adult.

if you believe we've inadvertently collected information from a child in any other context, please contact us and we'll delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, services, or applicable law. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you by email or via a notice on our website.
